The Family Care Network uses a participatory, non-hierarchical management structure, built on strong leadership and effective management to foster an environment conducive to giving input, encouraging creativity and initiating a free exchange of ideas.
The agency’s organizational management consists of four elements:
- Planning
- Organizing
- Directing and Leading
- Evaluating
It is a continual, circular process responsible for maintaining the viability and health of the agency in support of the agency’s mission.
The agency operates four levels of governance:
- The Board of Directors, who meet monthly and focus on broad policy, vision and general oversight.
- The Executive Team, who meets weekly and ad hoc to provide immediate, direct all-agency administrative control and decision-making.
- The Management Council, which consists of all managers and supervisors, who meet weekly to serve as a forum for disseminating information, reporting program performance and needs, and for maintaining agency accountability.
- The Program Units, who meet weekly to ensure consistent and effective program operations.
