Goals:
- To provide affordable housing to high-needs youth ages 16 to 24 that were formerly or are currently in the foster care system
- To provide services designed to develop life skills that teach youth how to live successfully on their own
- To assist youth in developing a community-based support system in preparation for emancipation
Services:
- Transitional Housing Placement Program (THPP)
A structured, intensive program for foster youth (ages 16-18) preparing to leave the foster care system. THPP provides independent housing, substantial one-on-one counseling, support, instruction and guidance.
- Transitional Housing Placement Plus (THP+)
A structured program for former foster youth (ages 18-24) who have aged-out of the foster care system. THP+ provides independent housing, one-on-one counseling, support, instruction and guidance to assist former foster youth in finding and securing long term housing.
- Transitional Aged Youth Housing (TAY)
In partnership with the San Luis Obispo County Behavioral Health, the Family Care Network provides four living units for youth aged 18-21 who are experiencing some degree of mental illness while SLO County Behavioral Health provides therapeutic treatment services.
