Events produced by or for the Family Care Network are a vital part of accomplishing our mission to enhance the wellbeing of children and families in partnership with our community. As a part of the Community Resource Development Department, events function as a catalyst for creating new relationships or expanding existing relationships with businesses and individuals. Our hope is that by learning about the Family Care Network through event participation, guests, sponsors and volunteers will be inspired to continue serving foster and high-needs children and families in a variety of capacities throughout the year.
Primary program funding sources are often restricted in scope, covering direct services and limited basic needs (shelter, clothing, medical expenses, etc.) of those we serve. It is our goal as an agency to provide services that go beyond primary program funding in order to assure the success of those we serve. These needs can include anything from music lessons for a young child to helping a foster youth transition from system dependence to adult independence to ensuring a family receives essential services. All money raised through events support those we serve, filling in critical gaps in service.
