Saying Goodbye to 2014

I must really be getting old fast, because time is accelerating at warp speed. Seriously, 2014 can’t be coming to an end; the past year seems like a blur. It almost feels like we went from 2013 to 2015. Yes – 2015! Let’s say goodbye to another year. Be careful, in a nod and a wink it will be 2016.

As years go, 2014 was a good one. We started out in grand style, holding our Grand Opening in our new Administrative Headquarters and Conference Center. Nearly 500 people showed up to help us celebrate this accomplishment.

FCNI Honors the Central Coast Funds for Children at the 9th Annual Taste of the Central Coast

On August 26th, the Family Care Network will host its 9th annual Taste of the Central Coast, a fine food and wine tasting event benefiting the foster and high-needs children, youth and families it serves. Be The Difference

July is the official “Make a Difference to Children” month. By implication, it means to make a positive difference in the life of a child; helping them to transform to a healthier, better or improved state or situation through a personal relationship. Unfortunately, the Family Care Network works with children and youth whose lives have become different because of negative or damaging relationships. But our mission, “to enhance the wellbeing of children…,” is fulfillecd through our network of individuals making that positive difference.

Taste of the Central Coast

The Family Care Network’s Taste of the Central Coast, Santa Barbara is less than three weeks away and the event coordinators are feeling the pressure of the ticking clock. The final weeks of any event are especially stressful, but this event is especially difficult as this is the event’s first year!
